Meet Dr. Taran Kaur

Dentistry is a part of Dr. Kaur’s family, as her father and brother are in the same profession as well. Following dental school, she received an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center, New York. Dr. Kaur believes in prevention as the key for long lasting dental health. Her goal is to give every visiting patient the quality of dentistry that she would expect for herself.

Her approach to your treatment starts by simply listening. Then, after a complete and thorough examination, she reviews and discusses the diagnosis and treatment options with you. She loves working with people and strives to transmit a very gentle experience. Dr. Kaur has been married to her husband Rylan for three years, and has one son, Kaish, who is five months old.

Meet Dr. Susan Pleva

A graduate of the NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Susan Pleva moved to the Washington DC area from New York in 1988. She currently resides in Fairfax, VA with her husband and two daughters. She brings years of experience and training to the office. Dr. Pleva is committed to providing exceptional as well as gentle dental care to each and every patient who comes into the office. She strongly believes in the value of preventive care and proper oral hygiene to achieve optimal dental health.

Leslie Bacarreza	Leslie Bacarreza was born and raised in Bolivia. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Metropolitan Institute of Health and Technology. The fact that Leslie loves her job makes her a very efficient and effective dental assistant. Believing that each person deserves to have a perfect smile, Leslie treats her patients with the utmost care and excellent service.
Marcia Waller	Marcia Waller is one of the smiling faces you will see at Optimum Dental. She takes pride in her organizational skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail. Marcia stands as a patient care advocate, working hard to ensure you are satisfied with your visit before leaving the office. When not working, Marcia enjoys spending time with her husband and son Elijah, and going to the beach to catch some rays.
Muji Lestari	Muji graduated from the Dental Assistant Training School (DATS), Maryland. She believes in quality of care and attention to detail and enjoys the customer satisfaction that she receives from the patients that she helps treat. She loves making each patient leave with a smile on their face.  In her free time, Muji  enjoys travel, cooking, sports, gardening and is an active member of her community.
	Geno Candelas is a new addition to Optimum Dental, He is both fluent in English and Spanish. He is great with people and is sure to be one of the first people you talk to when calling our practice. He will be happy to take care of you and answer any question you may have whether it be on the phone or in person. When not at work he enjoys drawing and listening to music and watching his favorite football team : The Washington Redskins.
