COVID-19 Announcement

To Our Patients and Their Families:

 

At Optimum Dental, our number one priority has always been the health and safety of our patients.
As a leading healthcare authority in our community, we wanted to reach out to all of our patients regarding the COVID-19 virus, and to let you know the steps we are taking to decrease the rate of transmission in our community.  
 

The recent recommendation made by the VDA Board of Directors on dental practice closures due to COVID-19 was voluntary and did not carry the force of law. On March 25th, 2020, Governor Ralph Northam issued Executive Order 51, declaring a disaster related to COVID-19. The Order is now mandatory, carries the effect of law and we must follow it.
 

This Order is effective March 25, 2020 and is in effect until June 10th, 2020. Any patients who have elective procedures scheduled during this time will be rescheduled. Treatment will be limited to emergency care only. If you have a dental emergency during this time please call 703-622-5290.

Many of you have heard on the news in recent days of the importance of “flattening the curve” to prevent our health care system from being overwhelmed. This proactive measure is aimed to limit the spread of this virus and keep our patients and staff safe. If we can decrease the number of patients who require ICU care over the next several weeks, we will have done our part.
